Our members are young Democrats between the ages of 18-35 who live in the San Gorgonio Pass or adjacent communities. Members age out on their 36th birthday and become alumni. 

  • What is Pass Young Democrats (PYD)?

    PYD, founded and chartered with the California Young Democrats (CYD) in 2023 in the San Gorgonio Pas s of Southern California, is a dynamic hub for young Democrats. Committed to supporting aligned candidates, advocating for youth-centric issues, and fostering community through events, PYD empowers youth voices and promotes representative leadership. Guided by progressive values, we aim to drive significant political and social change in our region. 

  • How can I donate to PYD?

  • I want to partner or host an event with PYD. Who do I contact?

  • What are the membership dues?

    The annual membership rate is $25, and the student membership rate is $15. A lifetime membership is also available for $85, with members "aging out" on their 36th Birthday. An alumni membership can be purchased for $35.

    Membership dues can be paid using our Contributions Act Blue account. 

    These dues help fund our events, public programs, and operational expenses, as well as support our investments in candidates and causes important to our members. 

  • Can I attend PYD events or meetings without being a member?

    Yes, prospective members are welcome to attend any PYD events or meetings without official membership. However, to vote in endorsements and other important meetings, and to enjoy full membership privileges, you'll need to pay membership dues to officially join PYD. 

  • When can I vote in endorsement procedures?

    Eligibility to vote in endorsement procedures is limited to individuals who qualify for membership and have been dues-paying members for at least four calendar days before the procedure. Alternatively, if you were previously a member of PYD, you can pay dues on the same day of the endorsement procedure at an increased rate.
